Faithfullness

What got me thinking from Sunday Service today.....Pastor Ben shared about faithfulness..to be faithful in whatever we do, to be faithful in communicating the gospel with people...

------------------------------
Senator Mark Hatfield visited Mother Teresa in Calcutta. He saw her home for the destitute dying. He encountered poverty like he never before imagined. He witnessed long lines of people waiting for medical attention.

Overwhelmed, he asked her,"How can you bear the load without being crushed by it?"

Mother Teresa replied, "My dear Senator, I am not called to be successful, I am called to be faithful."
-----------------------------

Ed: Are we being to focused on results, that we forget about the process , that we missed the whole idea of being faithful to whatever we are given, entrusted to do (by God) ?

Similiar to teaching, will I be so concerned about whether my students will be achieving their 'A's that i forget to be faithful with impacting values to them during my lessons?

"There are few things more important than faithfulness. That is no doubt why Paul identifies it as a gift of the Spirit. Faithfulness is at the heart of Gods character. It is also a necessary part of all healthy relationships. Children need faithful parents. People need faithful friends. It is at the very core of trust, and trust is vital to our very survival. Like Mother Teresa, we are each called to be faithful" - Rev. Steve Goodier ( taken from here )
